College of Islamic Sciences Completes Preparations for the Third Edition of the Martyr Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr Conference

The Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Abboud, held an important preparatory meeting that included the scientific, administrative, and media committees for the Martyr Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr Conference, as part of the ongoing preparations for the third edition of the scientific conference in cooperation with the Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr Foundation for Islamic Studies and Research.

The meeting, held at the college headquarters, featured an in-depth discussion of all organizational, scientific, and media details. The committees reviewed their progress and confirmed the completion of all necessary preparations for the conference, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of the conference in shedding light on the intellectual legacy of the martyr Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr and his pioneering role in contemporary Islamic thought. He also stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure the success of this major academic event, which reflects the college’s standing and its role in supporting rigorous Islamic research and scholarship.
