
As part of its ongoing efforts to activate academic activities and graduate student seminars, graduate student Noor Muwafaq presented a research seminar titled:
“The Death of the Author Theory and Its Impact on Interpreting the Qur’anic Text”,
under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mawahib Saleh Mahdi, and in the presence of a group of postgraduate students.
The seminar offered an analytical presentation of the concept of “Death of the Author” as one of the most prominent modern critical theories, highlighting its implications for understanding the Qur’anic text and its interpretive mechanisms. The topic stimulated rich and in-depth academic discussions among the attendees.
This seminar is part of a series of scholarly activities that the department is keen to sustain in order to enhance the research and analytical skills of doctoral students.
