
In the presence of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Tai, the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, welcomed the college’s Quranic team after securing third place in the Ninth National Team Quran Competition for students of Iraqi universities.
This achievement came after strong competition involving 40 teams from various Iraqi universities, in a contest organized by the House of the Holy Quran at the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and hosted by the University of Karbala. The result reflects the distinction of the college’s students and the development of their skills in memorization, recitation, and interpretation.
The university president expressed his pride in this accomplishment, praising the high academic and spiritual level of the students, as well as the tremendous efforts of the supervisors, trainers, and the team itself. He also emphasized the importance of continuing to support Quranic activities and providing an encouraging environment that motivates students to participate in national events and strengthen their presence.
This victory represents a new chapter in the achievements of the College of Islamic Sciences and the University of Karbala in student, academic, and religious activities, showcasing their distinguished presence in national competitions.
