
Graduate student at the College of Islamic Sciences, Mohammad Taklif Al-Khalidi, has been selected as the Ambassador for Disability for the year 2026, during the major annual carnival organized by the Iraqi Association of Persons with Disabilities on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The selection ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Asadi, along with a distinguished group of senior governmental and parliamentary figures, ambassadors, and members of diplomatic missions, reflecting both official and societal attention to disability-related issues.
Al-Khalidi expressed his great pride in this honor, affirming that the title represents not merely a personal achievement, but rather a recognition of the disability cause itself, which continues to strive for having its voice heard and for safeguarding its legitimate rights. He also emphasized that this selection constitutes a greater responsibility and a strong motivation to continue working diligently in service of these just causes.
