Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ashtar, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences, participated in the blessed celebration held by the College of Pharmacy at the University of Karbala on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The event took place in Ibn Al-Haytham Hall and was attended by a number of faculty members and students.
In his lecture entitled “Fatima al-Zahra: The Symbol of Purity and Chastity,” Dr. Al-Ashtar addressed the moral and human dimensions of the personality of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), emphasizing that commemorating the occasions of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) represents spiritual and ethical awareness that contributes to building the character of university students alongside their academic excellence.
He noted that the mission of pharmacy students is not limited to caring for physical human health alone, but also extends to building humanitarian and moral values, inspired by the life and conduct of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
The lecture focused on three main themes: following the example of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in morals and knowledge; transforming values and concepts into practical application in daily life; and emphasizing the preservation of women’s dignity while rejecting the phenomenon of commodifying women and exploiting their image on social media platforms.
At the conclusion of the celebration, attendees stressed the importance of such activities in reinforcing the balance between academic excellence and ethical commitment, contributing to the preparation of a conscious generation that combines knowledge with virtue.
