
Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Rahi Saadoun, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences, participated as a member of the Updated Teaching Competency Test Committee, which was held at the Continuing Education Center under the supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid, and the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Engineer Miqdad Abdul Rahim Haider.
The test was conducted in the hall of the Continuing Education Center / College of Education for Pure Sciences, where the committee began its work by examining a number of applicants holding higher degrees in educational specializations for the academic year 2026. The test aims to qualify candidates for teaching positions in higher education institutions.

The test sessions included academic presentations delivered by the applicants within their educational fields of specialization. These were followed by evaluative questions and scholarly and pedagogical guidance provided by the committee members. The discussions focused on key areas such as classroom management, time management, teaching methods, feedback strategies, as well as standards of academic competence and mastery of subject content.
The committee members commended the strong academic performance of several participants, affirming that the Teaching Competency Test represents an important step toward enhancing the quality of higher education and strengthening the capabilities of future teaching staff in accordance with approved academic standards.
