The College of Islamic Sciences discusses the Quranic methodology in the report on creed according to the exegetes of Imamia

In the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, the defense of the master’s thesis titled “The Quranic Methodology in Reporting Creed According to the Exegetes of Imamia – Presentation and Analysis” was conducted. The student, Haider Hussein Abbas Jaber, presented his thesis in the Imam Hussein Hall at the college.

The intended goal of this study was to attempt to uncover Allah’s intentions to the extent possible by human capability, the Quranic approach to creed, and the analysis of Quranic creedal discourse, relying on the statements of Imamia exegetes.

The major findings of the study include:

  1. The Quran emphasizes the natural disposition (fitrah) methodology, repeatedly calling upon this innate inclination bestowed by Allah to guide individuals towards faith and away from misguidance.
  2. The narrative methodology is also highlighted in the Quran, warning individuals about the consequences of continued disobedience and lack of obedience, as exemplified in the stories of Prophet Noah and Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon them).

The examination committee comprised the following members:

  1. Assistant Professor Dr. Khudair Jasim Haloub from the University of Karbala, College of Islamic Sciences, as Chairman.
