
Under the patronage and supervision of Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, the college’s Career Development and Employment Unit organized a workshop titled “Enhancing Students’ Decision-Making Skills.” The session was presented by Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Sadiq Mohammed Ali Al-Husseini, with active participation from the college’s students.
The workshop aimed to empower students to define their personal and academic goals and develop effective plans to achieve them. It also focused on strengthening their ability to understand the consequences of their choices and refine their skills in making sound decisions through open-ended questions and purposeful interactive discussions.
During the workshop, emphasis was placed on the importance of conscious decision-making as one of the key competencies students need throughout their academic and professional lives. This skill plays a vital role in shaping independent personalities and enabling students to face various challenges with confidence and responsibility.
At the conclusion of the workshop, students expressed their appreciation for this meaningful initiative, highlighting its contribution to the development of their intellectual and behavioral skills. They affirmed the value they gained from the discussions and real-life examples presented by the lecturer.
