
Professor Dr. Nahida Jalil Al-Ghalibi, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, participated in an academic discussion held at Imam Al-Kadhim College (peace be upon him) / Department of Sharia, for a master’s thesis entitled:
“A Jurisprudential and Legal Reading of the Path of Transitional Justice and the Law Banning the Baath Party.”
The thesis highlighted the jurisprudential and legal characterization of the Law Banning the Baath Party as one of the most prominent legislations of the transitional justice phase in Iraq, through examining the legitimacy of political parties and the regulations governing their establishment and prohibition in light of Islamic jurisprudence and positive law.
The discussion was conducted in a rigorous academic atmosphere, featuring scholarly interventions and valuable observations from the members of the examination committee, which contributed to deepening the research themes and enriching its scientific outcomes. At the conclusion of the discussion, the committee approved the thesis and awarded the student a Master’s degree with a grade of “Very Good – High.”
