Dr. Mustafa Hussein Al-Quraishi, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, has published an important academic study in cooperation with the Bayyina Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security. The study addresses a highly sensitive aspect of the crimes committed by the terrorist organization ISIS, focusing on acts of mutilation of human bodies in areas that were under the group’s control.
The study sheds light on the intellectual, humanitarian, and legal dimensions of these crimes by combining rigorous academic analysis with field documentation. This approach contributes to revealing the scale of violations suffered by affected communities and to understanding the ideological contexts that were used to justify such brutal practices.
This publication represents a significant addition to the research literature in the field of intellectual security and countering extremism, as it offers a scientific and humanitarian perspective that helps document terrorist crimes and raises societal awareness of their dangers and their profound impact on the human and social fabric.
