
The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala witnessed the attendance of the University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid, at a PhD dissertation defense, where he expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the examination committee in evaluating the dissertation and enhancing the scientific quality of university outputs.
The defense was held for the dissertation submitted by researcher Fatima Ali Al-Shawi, entitled:
“Unveiling the Verification of Mulla Mohsen bin Mohammed Taher Al-Qazwini (d. 1115 AH), from verse (104) of Surah Aal Imran to verse (24) of Surah An-Nisa: A Comparative Study and Critical Edition.”
During the session, the University President emphasized the importance of advancing scientific research and enhancing the quality of educational outcomes, calling for the provision of an appropriate academic environment to support postgraduate students. He also praised the efforts of the college and the members of the examination committee in enriching the scholarly discussion and offering constructive remarks that contribute to the development of academic theses.
The President’s attendance comes as part of his ongoing follow-up of scientific activities and recognition of students’ achievements, reflecting the university’s commitment to strengthening its standing in research, development, and community service.
