
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Ta’i, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college held a memorial ceremony marking the martyrdom of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei (may his noble soul be sanctified).
The ceremony took place on Wednesday morning, 4/3/2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Imam Al-Hussein Hall at the college, in the presence of a number of faculty members, students, and staff.
The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an and the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha in mercy upon his soul, followed by the national anthem, in an atmosphere marked by sorrow and remembrance of his religious and political legacy.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Ta’i, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the importance of commemorating influential figures in the history of the Islamic nation and drawing inspiration from theirواقف in strengthening values, principles, and steadfastness upon the authentic Islamic path, noting the role the late scholar played throughout various stages of his life.
The ceremony also included the screening of a documentary film about the Sayyid’s life, produced by the Media and Government Communication Division at the college, highlighting the most prominent stages of his life and positions.
For her part, the Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and Its Principles, Assistant Professor Dr. Asmaa Qasim, delivered a speech addressing the scholarly and intellectual aspects of the late figure’s personality and his role in consolidating concepts of unity and resilience.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of sorrowful poetic verses dedicated to his soul, delivered by student Haider Taye, expressing feelings of grief and loss and renewing commitment to upholding the values he advocated.
