Dr. Ahmed Rahi Saadoun Al-Zaidi, an assistant professor at the College of Islamic Sciences at Karbala University, has recently published a book on Islamic Realism in the novels of Georgi Zidan.
The book, printed by Dickens Publishing and Distribution House in Basra, Iraq, explores the works of Georgi Zidan, a prominent figure in contemporary Arab literature and a pioneer in Islamic historical novels. The author examines how Zidan approached realism in his novels, whether he portrayed Islamic characters fairly and impartially, and the influence of his Christian faith on his works. The book provides further insights into the dimensions of Islamic realism in Georgi Zidan’s novels and consists of 196 pages divided into two chapters and seven sections.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Zaidi has authored numerous works in the field of modern and comparative literature, adding to the academic achievements of the College of Islamic Sciences in the scientific domain.
