The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Islamic Sciences holds a celebration.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hussein Aboud Al-Tai, the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education held a celebration to honor its achievement of first place among similar departments in public and private universities in the Iraqi national university ranking for 2023, as well as first place among the departments of the University of Karbala.

The event was attended by the President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Basim Khalil Al-Saidi, his administrative assistant, Prof. Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri, member of the Education Parliamentary Committee, Dr. Firas Al-Musallamawi, the Head of the Academics Union in Karbala, Prof. Dr. Munir Al-Dami, Dr. Amna Al-Asadi representing the Chairman of the Karbala Provincial Council, Dr. Qasim Al-Yasiri, and various cultural and academic figures.

The celebration began with the national anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and Surah Al-Fatiha in tribute to the martyrs of Iraq and the educational journey.

Welcoming speeches were given, congratulating the faculty members, staff, and students on these achievements, which have brought honor to the university and the department, and showcased the state of higher education in Iraq, made possible through the collective efforts of everyone involved.

The department’s members, led by Assistant Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nazim Al-Mufriji, expressed their great joy at this occasion, pledging to maintain their distinguished academic status.
