The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala held a training seminar for educational counselors on Monday, 12/12/2022, at the Imam Hussein Hall (PBUH) in the college.

The training workshop included three axes. The first axis was presented to the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Najm Abd al-Hussein al-Rubaie, entitled “Educational Guidance is a Community Responsibility.” The second axis was titled “Educational Guidance from an Islamic Perspective,” in which the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Titled Behavioral Problems and Methods of Dealing with Students and Influencing Them, presented by Mrs. Bushra Abbas Mal Allah, General Directorate of Education of Karbala.

The training seminar, which was moderated by the official of the Division of Continuing Education at the College of Islamic Sciences, Dr. Hassan Al-Juzaili, aims to provide psychological support to the educational counselor, adopt a common philosophy and vision in educational counseling, identify the problems that the educational counselor suffers from, and emphasize the role of counseling in the primary stage, in addition to identifying the training needs of the counselor. Education to provide the necessary future programs.

The training seminar witnessed a clear interaction by the educational counselors through scientific interventions and questions, and the counselors’ desire to repeat such meetings, and they requested that they be held periodically.5
