In collaboration with Al-Ain Social Care Foundation, the College of Islamic Sciences is implementing a campaign to support orphan care

Under the auspices of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Al-Saeedi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Dhurgham Karim Kazem Al-Musawi.

On Monday, 5/22/2023, students of the Department of Qur’anic Studies at the College of Islamic Sciences at Karbala University implemented a voluntary donation campaign for orphans, in cooperation with the Al Ain Foundation for Social Welfare, at the university’s presidency hall.

This campaign stems from the social responsibility of the participants in the campaign in addressing the problems and challenges facing the community and spreading awareness of them to ensure the existence of a societal culture that takes into account and supports orphans.

The campaign included the distribution of food baskets to approximately 150 families of orphans in the governorate, as well as the distribution of clothes to more than 50 orphans, with money donated to the Al Ain Foundation for Social Welfare.

It is worth noting that the idea of this campaign was specifically launched by the students of the first stage in the Department of Quranic Studies, in coordination and organization with the teaching assistant at the college, Dr. Ahmed Rahi Al-Zaidi.

The orphans expressed their gratitude for this beautiful gesture, which confirms the college’s interest in this important segment of society, bringing joy to their hearts and raising their spirits.
