"The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organizes a scientific seminar on the Ideal Engineering Design of the Islamic Hijab."

A scientific seminar titled ‘The Ideal Engineering Design of the Islamic Hijab’ was held at the Imam Hussein Hall in the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala.

The seminar was attended by Professor Ali Hussein Abdul Rasool, specialized in Computer Science and an employee in Continuing Education at the university’s presidency. The academic management of the Arabic Language Department and the Head of Arabic Language Safety Section at the university, Dr. Bushra Hanoun Mohsin, also participated.

The seminar covered three axes: the scientific axis, the engineering design, and the artistic axis, which included drawing and sculpting. The final axis addressed these sciences concerning the topic of the hijab in a scientific manner.

The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of the hijab for women and modesty for men from a scientific perspective, emphasizing that the hijab prevents falling into pitfalls and preserves stable and balanced human behavior.

The seminar emphasized that the Islamic hijab, represented by wearing the black abaya, should function to control or reduce the natural attraction between both genders through neutralizing most psychological effects of the female body shape on the viewer’s mind. This was proven by understanding the mechanism of human brain perception of the real world through the sense of sight (shape formation and color theory) and the psychological effects associated with this perception (neurotransmitters).
