The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala celebrates the Prophet’s birthday

The Media and Government Communication Division at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, organized a joyful celebration in the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Hall at the college, on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) birthday, attended by a number of professors, staff members, and students.

The event aimed to reinforce authentic Islamic values and revive unifying religious occasions that contribute to strengthening religious and cultural affiliation among students and academic staff.

The celebration was supervised by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Abboud Al-Taie, who highlighted in his speech the greatness of this occasion and its role in promoting human and spiritual values, stressing the importance of following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and embodying his character and ethics in the academic community.

The event was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Abdul-Nabi and Dr. Mohammed Hassoun, and its segments varied between poetry, speeches, videos, and informative presentations.

The celebration also featured a heartfelt poem filled with love and devotion to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), delivered by Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Fadel, a faculty member at the college, expressing deep spiritual and emotional connection to the Prophet and his pure household.

Additionally, a special documentary video about the blessed birth of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was shown, prepared and produced by the Media and Government Communication Division, reflecting the spiritual and historical atmosphere of this blessed occasion.

The event concluded with an awareness lecture delivered by Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ashtar, a faculty member at the college, in which he addressed the intellectual and human dimensions of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) biography and the role of this anniversary in fostering a spirit of love and peace in society.

This celebration comes as part of a series of cultural and religious activities organized by the college as part of its efforts to utilize religious occasions in building awareness and knowledge and strengthening Islamic identity among students.
