Enhancing Scientific Cooperation… A Delegation from the College of Islamic Sciences Visits the Vocational Education Department in Karbala

As part of strengthening scientific and institutional cooperation between universities and educational institutions, a delegation from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala visited the Vocational Education Department of the General Directorate of Education in Karbala. The visit aimed to promote the evening study program in the Arabic Language Department, scheduled to launch this year at the college.

The delegation included:

  • Prof. Dr. Hazem Al-Barez – Head of the Arabic Language Department,
  • Prof. Dr. Haider Shalal Mut’ib – Director of the Media and Government Communication Unit at the college,
  • Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Judhailee – faculty member at the college.

The delegation was received by Assist. Prof. Dr. Tahseen Al-Shahir, Director of the Vocational Education Department in Karbala. The meeting focused on ways to support vocational school graduates and encourage them to enroll in evening studies, in addition to enhancing academic cooperation and joint coordination between both sides in areas of mutual interest.

The visit also included a field tour of several vocational schools in the governorate to observe the reality of vocational education and create opportunities for direct communication with students and educational staff.

This initiative comes as part of the College of Islamic Sciences’ ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with the educational community and open higher education pathways for vocational graduates, thereby contributing to the advancement of the educational process in Karbala.
