Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Aboud Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala, took part in the proceedings of the Third National Quranic Academic Forum for university and institute professors in Iraq. The forum was held under the auspices of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) / Dar Al-Quran Al-Kareem, as part of the national Quranic project in Iraqi universities, with broad participation from researchers, academics, and Quranic institutions across the country.
The forum opened with a blessed recitation from the Holy Quran by Dr. Rafi’ Al-Amiri, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, the playing of the national anthem, and the Call of Creed.
The scientific sessions of the forum focused on three main themes:
- The importance of spreading Quranic culture within the academic environment, with contributions from several Iraqi university professors.
- Prospective studies in Quranic sciences, addressing the future of Quranic research, intellectual and technological transformations, and interpretive methodologies.
- A review of Quranic activities in Iraqi universities, presented through statistical and programmatic reports, along with a documentary film showcasing the most prominent of these initiatives.
This forum comes within the framework of strengthening Quranic academic engagement in Iraqi universities, reaffirming the role of educational institutions in instilling Quranic values, building social awareness, and shaping a solid intellectual identity for both students and researchers.
