The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala welcomed a delegation from the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine – Center for Cataloging and Information Systems, as part of a joint collaboration to catalog the Al-Farahidi Library in the Department of Arabic Language using the international “Koha” library management system, in accordance with the Dewey Decimal Classification system.

This project comes within the college’s efforts to develop the infrastructure of university libraries and enhance the services provided to researchers and students by organizing information resources and facilitating electronic access in line with modern advancements in digital library systems.

Through this collaboration, the college aspires to establish a comprehensive digital academic library that supports scientific research and postgraduate studies while providing a modern academic environment that simplifies access to diverse knowledge resources.
