As part of the College of Islamic Sciences’ engagement with cultural and community activities, several faculty members and students from the University of Karbala participated in the Fadak Cultural Forum held in Karbala, attended by a distinguished group of academics, intellectuals, and scholars of religious and cultural affairs.
The forum was titled “The Children of Israel: Foundations and Horizons of Interaction – A Reading in Light of the Qur’anic Stories of the Children of Israel” and opened with a Qur’anic recitation by reciter Abbas Fadel.
The college’s participation was notable, as Dr. Mohammed Hassoun, one of the faculty members of the College of Islamic Sciences, moderated the main session presented by Dr. Maki Al-Kallabi, while several students contributed to the event’s media coverage and documentation.
This participation reflects the College of Islamic Sciences’ commitment to fostering intellectual and cultural engagement with community institutions and supporting initiatives that promote religious and intellectual awareness while reinforcing the values of dialogue and knowledge within society.
