
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Hussein Al-Ta’i, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences organized an in-person workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Role in Scientific Research.”
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Rashid Hamid and Assistant Lecturer Sahib Kareem Sahib. It addressed several key themes, most notably the role of artificial intelligence as a transformative force in the field of scientific research, given the significant capabilities it offers in enhancing efficiency and fostering innovation.
The speakers emphasized the necessity of using artificial intelligence technologies wisely and responsibly, stressing that AI should be regarded as a supportive tool for researchers rather than a substitute for them, in order to preserve the quality and ethical standards of scientific research.
The workshop witnessed active participation and notable interaction from students of the College of Islamic Sciences, who enriched the discussion with their contributions and questions, reflecting the college’s commitment to keeping pace with modern scientific developments.
