Head of Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences Participates in a Panel Discussion on Women’s Leadership in Holy Karbala

The Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul-Kazim Jabbar Al-Kuraiti, attended a panel discussion organized by the Women’s Forum of the Karbala Directorate of Youth and Sports. The event was held under the patronage of the Governor of Holy Karbala, coinciding with the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him).

The panel was titled “Where Women Support Women, Leadership Grows and Society Strengthens,” held under the slogan “From the approach of Imam Ali (PBUH), we draw the strength of stance and build the impact of women in society.” The session aimed to highlight the most prominent challenges facing women leaders in society, as well as discuss key opportunities supporting women’s empowerment and enhancing their roles in leadership, decision-making, and management positions.

The session also focused on fostering a leadership spirit among women and drawing inspiration from “Alawi values” (the values of Imam Ali) to build a female leadership personality capable of making effective and influential contributions to societal development.

The event was attended by several members of the Karbala Provincial Council, along with a group of businesswomen and female officials at the provincial level. The session was enriched with constructive and purposeful discussions and dialogues that contributed to the exchange of views and experiences, further supporting the journey of women’s empowerment and their societal roles.
