A new academic book authored by Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Abdul-Nabi, faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, has recently been published by Dar 4U for Printing and Publishing in Baghdad. The book, titled “Al-Ghadir Sealed by the Tongue of the Infallible”, is the first edition (2025) and spans 200 pages.
The work sheds light on the historic and doctrinal event of Al-Ghadir, considered one of the most significant milestones in Islamic history. It compiles narrations, hadiths, supplications, and ziyarat related to this event as cited by the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them), employing a rigorous scholarly, linguistic, and analytical approach to document its authenticity from original sources.
In the introduction, the author highlights the universal principle of influence and interaction in human life, referencing the Qur’anic verse about Cain being influenced by the crow. From this, he draws a parallel: that the monumental event of Al-Ghadir cannot be detached from the collective consciousness of the Muslim community, given its deeply rooted impact on faith and historical identity, despite attempts by oppressive authorities throughout history to suppress it.
The book is organized chronologically according to the sayings of the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them), beginning with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and concluding with Imam Al-Mahdi, the Awaited Savior (may Allah hasten his reappearance). This structure provides readers with a comprehensive intellectual map of Al-Ghadir’s enduring presence in the religious discourse of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
This publication represents a valuable addition to Islamic scholarship and a distinguished effort to revive the authentic heritage of Al-Ghadir. By drawing upon the resources of language, eloquence, exegesis, hadith, and devotional literature, the book stands as a specialized reference for researchers in Islamic studies, creed, and history.
