A master’s thesis in the College of Islamic Sciences discusses the theological approaches between the Imamiyyah and the Ash’ari interpretation of Al-Razi as a model

A discussion of the master’s thesis tagged “Theological Approaches between Imamism and Ash’ari, Interpretation of Al-Razi as a Model” took place in the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Karbala, by the student Wissam Salam Thajeel Al-Ta’i, on Sunday 15/1/2023

The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr.: Muhammad Hussain Aboud Al-Taei from Karbala University – College of Islamic Sciences – Chairman. And Assistant Professor Dr.: Iqbal Wafi Najm from Karbala University – College of Islamic Sciences – Member. And Assistant Professor Dr.: Hossam Ali Hassan from Al-Kafeel University – Sharia Department, member. And Professor Dr.: Lecturer Dr. Asmaa Qassem Muhammad – University of Karbala – College of Islamic Sciences – member and supervisor.

The researcher reached the following results:
1- The science of speech constitutes a fundamental axis in the Islamic mind because it contains knowledge that develops the mind through which a cosmic vision of its own is formed.
2- We found that the theological difference between the Imamiyyah and the Ash’ari is small, and the rapprochement is much, after it was portrayed for centuries that the disagreement is deep.
3- Recognizing the status of Al-Fakhr Al-Razi, his extensive verbal and exegetical erudition, his impact on the Ash’ari approach, and his closeness to the Imam’s approach.
