A Faculty Member from the College of Islamic Sciences Publishes a Scholarly Article in Al-Wafi Journal of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine on the Reform Project of the Religious Authority

Assistant Lecturer Ali Jaafar, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences – University of Karbala, published a scholarly article in Al-Wafi magazine, issued by the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, titled:
“The Religious Authority as a Reform Project: Combating Corruption as a Model.”

The article discusses the role of Iraq’s supreme religious authority as a comprehensive reform project, focusing particularly on combating financial and administrative corruption. It analyzes the Friday sermons delivered from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) by the representatives of the religious authority, Sayyid Ahmed Al-Safi and Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai.

The article presents an analytical reading of the authority’s positions post-2003, highlighting its balanced and impartial stance toward all Iraqi communities and its commitment to building a state of institutions that upholds the constitution and rejects corruption and sectarian quotas.

This scientific contribution adds to the series of efforts by faculty members at the College of Islamic Sciences to address national and religious issues from a rigorous academic perspective, enhancing the university’s presence in the intellectual and religious landscape.
